The Editor

Last year, we were eagerly waiting for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, but this year, it’s the big concert on June 21st that has us hopping with excitement. June 21st means it’s the Fête de la Musique, and it also marks the beginning of summer. So, we have two fabulous events to celebrate in style! But this year’s edition is something special. For the very first time, the Fête de la Musique will stretch over an entire week as part of the Paris Music Week. And on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the Ministry of Culture revealed what the closing concert will look like. Let's just say it’s going to be a memorable evening awaits us

A 4-Hour Show in the Gardens of the Louvre

To enjoy this evening, you'll need to head to the gardens of the Louvre. A crowd of around 35,000 spectators is expected! The grand concert wrapping up the Paris Music Week promises to deliver a 4-hour show: a live concert from 9 PM to 11 PM, followed by an electro after-show from 11 PM to 12:30 AM. The entire event will be broadcast live on France Télévisions. At the helm of this event are Thierry Reboul, the creative director, Victor Le Masne, the musical director, and Romain Pissenem, the scenic director. This trio has previously worked together for the opening and closing ceremonies of last year's Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The evening « will celebrate the greatest hits of French and international music, performed by artists of all styles and generations », declares Rachida Dati, Minister of Culture, in a press release. While the complete lineup hasn't been revealed yet, Camille, Christine and the Queens, Jeanne Added, La Femme, Major Lazer, Malik Djoudi, Miss Monique, Solann, Sol Gabetta, and Youssef Swatt's are expected to be among the artists taking the stage.

Reviving the Olympic legacy

A year after the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, the Olympic legacy is returning to the capital! Particularly on June 21st, the cauldron, an emblem celebrated all around the world, will rise again for the first time in 2025. Back in the Tuileries Garden, it has recently been re-inflated. So, we just have to wait a few more days before we can see it light up and rise into the sky at twilight. While the evening is free, registration will be necessary to access it!
