The Editor

Classical music lovers eagerly await this annual event, while the more curious souls delight in watching the summer lineup come together. From July 23 to August 16, Les Arènes Lyriques will return to Montmartre for our utmost enjoyment. For 16 exceptional performances featuring opera singers, violinists, pianists, and conductors, the most famous tunes of classical music will come to life in the iconic Parisian neighborhood, propelled by Ivan Velikanov, the musical director for the 2025 edition.

Seize Opportunities for Musical (Re)Discovery!

Seize performances will be offered this summer, outdoors, to the Parisian public. This year's lineup includes pieces like "Oh! My Immortal Lyre" by Gounod, and "Armatae face et anguibus" by Vivaldi featuring mezzo-sopranos Iana Diakova and Séraphine Cotrez. You'll also enjoy "Der Hölle Rache" by Mozart, "Morgen" by Strauss, and "Lakmè" Act 2 by Delibes performed by sopranos Pauline Texier and Morgane Heyse. On the piano, you'll have the privilege of hearing "Piano Concerto No. 2: II Adagio sostenuto" by Rachmaninoff and "Ständchen" by Schubert, presented by Alexandre Madjar. Violists Thomas Lefort and Da-Min Kim will perform the "Violin Concerto in D minor: 2. Andante".e Mendelssohn as well as an arrangement of "When I am Laid in Earth" by Purcell. "La Bella Noeva" will be performed by the Arènes Lyriques ensemble. "La Chanson de Prévert" by Serge Gainsbourg and "Because" by the Beatles will also be part of this concert.

Les Arènes Lyriques for the kids

The little ones won’t be left out since concerts tailored for young audiences, especially for children who aren't going on vacation, will be offered from July 25th to August 15th.

Four afternoons will be specially reserved for them to introduce them to classical music and offer a moment of escape. In this youth segment, we will have the show The King Who Didn't Like Music, a participatory workshop where children create their own musical tale, and a vocal demonstration where they can try a collective vocal warm-up alongside the lyrical singers from the arena, who will also perform excerpts from great classical pieces. Ticket sales are already open, so don't hesitate to reserve your seats!
