The Editor

After being showcased at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles during the immersive concerts of Cercle Odyssey in May 2025, Max Richter is back in the capital and elevating the musical experience to a whole new level. On Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16, the pianist and composer will set up his instruments at the Fondation Louis Vuitton for two nights of concerts. Yes, you read that right: two nights. Get ready in your pajamas!

Over 8 hours of concert

From 11 PM to 7 AM the next morning, the German artist will perform the entirety of his work SLEEP. And to enjoy these 8 hours and 24 minutes of concert, you won’t be sitting or standing like usual. Instead, it’s in front of a crowd lying in beds that Max Richter will play on the piano, accompanied by five string musicians and soprano Grace Davidson. Pillows, blankets, and breakfast will be provided!

An album celebrating its 10th anniversary

It was in 2015 that Max Richter composed this uniquely special album SLEEP, alongside Yulia Mahr. Like a long-lasting lullaby, this composition of 31 "pieces" was designed to be listened to while you sleep. The participation of neuroscientist David Eagleman was notably sought to create a work aligned with the sleep cycles. Slow rhythms, gentle variations... Everything was crafted to allow for a gentle and restorative sleep. This musical nap, however, comes with a price tag of €200.

For those on a tighter budget, you can enjoy a free visit to the exhibition « Gerhard Richter » from 11 PM to 1 AM, featuring a video screening of Max Richter's concert in the Hall and an audio broadcast in the different galleries of the museum. To join this stroll, you’ll need to pay 20 € for entry.
