The Editor

It's because hip-hop has never been so present in French culture that events like the L2P Convention are necessary. From rap, which has become the most listened to music in France on streaming platforms, to the excitement of dance, graffiti, and fashion related to hip-hop, this vast domain deserves its dedicated events, also to put an end to certain prejudices. Always under the leadership of the cultural center dedicated to hip-hop cultures, La Place, this convention aims to be a space between the public and professionals, an exchange space where you can learn as much about freestyle and beat making as about Sacem and the business of live rap, or how to manage a dance company. The event will shine throughout Paris and for the first time in the 93 with 6 partner locations: the Gaîté Lyrique, Spot 24, Canal 93, FGO-Barbara, the Forum des images, the Grand Palais Immersif.Fifou during the L2P Convention 2022 © Fibo

4 events not to be missed

A club night at la Gaîté Lyrique

For its fourth edition, the convention will start with an exceptional evening in collaboration with Dans le Club from ARTE concert at la Gaîté Lyrique. The concept? Uniting rap scenes from yesterday and today. Dans le Club has become a must-attend event for rap fans, offering half an hour sets by rappers (or groups), a DJ set, and a host to rally the crowd, all filmed in a club atmosphere close to the performers and the audience.

Live performances by young talents

On the music side, La Place stage will welcome three undeniable young talents: Furlax, Jaïa Rose, and Ruthee. An evening full of promises at the intersection of rap and r'n'b to discover live those who will shape the music of tomorrow.

A quiz to test your street culture

Test your knowledge and see if you can become the street culture champion at the convention with a fun quiz designed to challenge your urban cultural awareness. Are you ready for the challenge? Join us and show off your street smarts!

Stroll down Culture Street and test your luck at The Ultimate Sneakers Battle, the quiz in the form of a Battle Royale with 100 questions about sneakers, rap, and streetwear culture, with streetwear prizes and at least one pair of sneakers up for grabs inside.

The closing night with DJ Muggs

To wrap up the convention, La Place will host a major figure in the Latin American hip-hop scene: DJ Muggs, founding member, DJ, and beatmaker of Cypress Hill, one of the most important rap groups in history with 18 million albums sold worldwide. He also produced the classic debut album of House of Pain with the globally known hit "Jump Around". (Admit it, it's stuck in your head now)
