Great lineup, great atmosphere, finger-licking good food stands, talks and engagement, all in the stunning Bois de Vincennes - that's what We Love Green promises, kicking off the festival season in the capital each year. Rap, electro, pop, for all ages and tastes, this unifying festival invites us for its 13th edition at the beginning of June.
On the menu this year? A tasting menu of 5 stages featuring hip-hop, rap, rock, afro, and electro. A savory blend of umami, with international headliners and the new French guard, allowing us to indulge in the best live performances of the moment. And if the electronic music component in the programming of the 2023 edition of We Love Green was already impressive, this year, the festival in the Paris region has really outdone itself with a 2024 lineup that will delight all techno, house, and electronic music fans.
Electro-pop and big names
Free, independent, and cutting-edge, the festival always impresses with its electrifying lineup. And for this new edition, he gives pride of place to vinyl and dancefloor aficionados. This year 2024 will mark the comeback of Justice, the iconic French Touch duo, back with a new album and tour that promises a true electronic opera. Next up is one of the names that has made the biggest impact on the electro-house scene in the last decade, Montreal's Kaytranada and his versatile sets that keep us going from night to morning. The third big name on the electronic music side is none other than South Korean Peggy Gou, a DJ and icon of an entire generation who releases tracks and international successes.© Anthony Ghnassia
Techno, house & more
The festival is putting small turntables into big venues this year and continues to offer us an electronic line-up of qua-li-ty, notably with the arrival of the DJ, singer, and composer Shygirl with her unique style that mixes ultra pop, hip-hop, and club vibes. Next up, we have great names from the techno scene like Four Tet and Skin On Skin, with a gem from the ballroom scene and post-queer Berlin parties, LSDXOXO, with one of the few female Ivorian DJs, Mel V, with sunny Colombian electro presented by a b3b from Bitter Babe, Verraco, and Nick Leon, or even one of the best British DJs, Sherelle. Another surprise? The English grime icon Skepta takes to the decks this time. A return to his roots with a fierce and cathartic aesthetic.
Obviously, the duo Justice made up of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay already announces a beautiful French representation in a festival with multiple international references. And they won't be the only ones representing the local scene as our friends Etienne de Crécy, Bombass and Dj Falcon, three legends of French electronic music, will share the turntables for a set that already promises to be legendary. Want even more French artists? Anetha, a leading figure of the new generation of French DJs, will offer her old-school techno with trance inspirations, while the collective Sixtion, who set the beat in the trendiest clubs in France, will offer us nuances of Afro-descendant cultures and ultra-danceable rhythms.
