Before thegrand final color, don't forget to dress in white clothes, because yes, Holi powder is indelible! The Origins of Holi Holi is a traditional festival that has its origins in Hindu mythology. It tells the story of King Hiranyakashipu, a tyrant, who demanded that his people bow down to him. But his son, Prahlad, refused to submit to his father's arrogant demands. In response to this refusal, the king tried several times to kill his son. So, Prahlad sought the help of his sister, Holika, who was immune to fire and passed on her gift to him. Finally, King Hiranyakashipu challenged his son to lie in the fire... and Prahlad emerged victorious. In fact, the festival of Holi gets its name from Holika, a symbol of victory and abundance as spring approaches.
