From January 29 to February 2, 2025, the Institut du monde arabe will warm hearts and bring smiles with the sixth edition of the IMA Comedy Club, a borderless stand-up festival that celebrates Francophone and Arabophone humor. With a more vibrant lineup than ever and talents coming from all walks of life, this 2025 edition promises to take you on a whirlwind of laughter and emotions.
Laughter and Diversity at the IMA Comedy Club
Bold, connected, and engaged, stand-up is back at the Institut du monde arabe for this new edition of the IMA Comedy Club. True to its spirit of celebrating cosmopolitan humor, the festival invites artists from diverse backgrounds to take the mic and cheekily revisit the major themes of our time.
The dazzling program brings together established talents and new voices for a memorable experience!
cute;emerging talents like Sofiane Soch, Djamel Oudny, and Lilia Benchabane, who will light up the opening evening on January 29. As for lovers of Arabic humor, they won’t be disappointed: Abdelkader Secteur will present his show in Algerian dialect, Merhaba, while Mohamed Helmy will captivate his audience with his unique style in Egyptian Arabic.

Another must-see moment is the Habibi gala, the star event and queer highlight of the festival, promising a delightful atmosphere on January 31, featuring Ameziane, Luciole de feu, Lucie Carbone, and many more. And the grand finale, the closing night on February 2, will take place with Hakim Jemili and his show Fatigué, a hilariously therapeutic group session that mixes parenting and reflections on societal polarization.
An exciting program outside the walls
But that's not all! This year, the IMA Comedy Club is expanding beyond the Parisian walls, during and outside the festival period, with events at la Cave d’Argenteuil, including open mics and more.workshops aimed at training young talents. Led by Tarik Seddak (former artistic director of Studio Bagel, Golden Moustache, and the Jamel Comedy Club) and comedian Christine Berrou, these events are a way to encourage the emergence of a new generation of comedians and to make stand-up more accessible. Some young talents will even have the chance to perform on the IMA stage during the festival's opening night on January 29.
