The Editor

We announced it at the beginning of November: after two spectacular editions, the Hyper Weekend Festival is back at Maison de la Radio in January next year to make us vibrate for three days and three nights. Some names announced in November already promised us an appealing new lineup, like Sheila, Luidji, Camélia Jordana, Meryl, Ibeyi, Yamê, Alice Taglioni, Barbara Pravi, or SAGE. Radio France has just unveiled new headliners, and we can say it's heavy.

Clara Luciani, L'Impératrice, Philippe Katerine, Voyou...

This year, the Hyper Weekend Festival bets on an eclectic lineup: from tributes to Dalida and Françoise Hardy, unique creations, discovery of emerging talents, to well-thought retrospectives, the event promises to celebrate musical diversity and generations.

The most joyful day has arrived for Onnelle. Radio France has called upon the best of the best artists of the moment. Without further suspense, here are the new names revealed on Tuesday, December 5th: Clara Luciani, Thomas Dutronc, L'Impératrice, Philippe Katerine, Jan Verstraeten, November Ultra, and Voyou... And our little finger tells us that more names are yet to come. Clara Luciani, Thomas Dutronc, November Ultra, Philippe Katerine, and Voyou join the creation "Messages Personnels," a tribute to Françoise Hardy conceived by the artist SAGE. Thomas de Pourquery celebrates his grand return with a new album that he will showcase at Studio 104, two months before its release. While Jan Verstraeten, the new crazy sensation from Flanders, returns to test his flamboyant new songs on the Studio 104 stage. The band L'Impératrice takes over the kitchens of the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique's restaurant — Radioeat — and gets cooking to offer menus with Korean flavors. A premiere: a few weeks before a highly anticipated return to the stage, the most internationally famous French band won't stop there and will take us on a musical and cinematic journey throughout the entire weekend.

Exciting New Additions

For the 3rd edition of the Hyper Weekend Festival, a new artistic proposition is also making its appearance: the "Intimate Sessions," a series of 3 pocket-sized concerts at Foyer B featuring the label's highlighted artists. No Format, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary with Ala.ni, Asynchrone, Lucas Santtanan, Natascha Rogers, and Piers Faccini, Matías Enaut in a solo concert, and finally Declan McKenna in a unique formation for a special preview event. For the first time in its history, the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique also includes the LGBTQI+ communities for a ballroom open to everyone, presented by Vinii Revlon, a figure of the voguing scene, where dancers, beginners or experienced, will compete in front of a jury. However, be careful not to come in any old way: a black and red dress code is required. Finally, the Hyper Weekend Festival continues its work in discovering new talents from the French music scene with its "Déjà demain" stage, in partnership with Riffx, where more than ten young artists will come to showcase their skills directly to the public and who knows, maybe even create some heartwarming moments. Some names have already been announced: Miki, Nous étions une armée, Czesare, Jimmy Magardeau, Poppy Fusée, Lafable, Oscar les vacances, Nerlov or Poltergeist.
