Music lovers, the week ahead is made for you. On the agenda, a whole series of showcases and concerts spread throughout the capital’s institutions, with a grand finale on Saturday, June 21 during a spectacular event in the gardens of the Louvre. Starting from June 16, events will multiply in the streets of the capital to shine a light on French music, both at home and internationally. So, what does this crazy week hold for us?

From classical to electro, a lineup for every taste

From jazz to rap, through variety, heritage music, and new creations, even metal, we can expect a truly eclectic program across Paris this week. Behind the project of France Music Week, there’s a simple goal: to r...Stop the music, the ultimate popular art, accessible in every form to the general public. To make this happen, an amazing line-up of conferences, workshops, round tables, and especially about fifteen incredible concerts and showcases await us in the capital.

And it all starts on June 16th, with a musical experience led by Lenine and Spokfrevo Orquestra at the Théâtre du Châtelet, which will transport you straight to Brazil. We can also mention the rooftop session by Armin Van Buuren at the Centre Pompidou, the perfect opportunity to say goodbye to this institution. Grünt and Federap will also shake up the rap scene on June 17th and 18th, with a lineup featuring Ben PLG, Médine Atanaz, and BFG, marking the reopening of the Gaîté Lyrique. On June 19th, we're heading to rue des Lombards for the Jazz Scenes that will resonate in no less than 4 bars in the area. And of course, we can’t miss the Festiv4l the next day, which is back in great shape this year with Clara Luciani and Cerrone. This list is far from exhaustive, there are plenty more exciting events!Surprises await you in the complete programming found here.

An international festival

With its goal of shining a spotlight on musical talents from around the world, this inaugural edition of France Music Week is hosting a very special event, the Showcases of France Music Week. For 2 days, on June 18 and 19, as part of the International Exchange Days, French artists will perform at the Maison de la Radio in front of a delegation of no less than 70 individuals from the international music industry. It’s a fantastic opportunity for artists to expand their network, and for the audience to discover the greatest French talents of tomorrow.

A Quality Finale

And to wrap up this week of musical festivities, the President of the Republic, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Rachida Dati, invites you to join them on June 21 in the heart of the Jardin des Tuileries, just a stone's throw from the Olympic basin which will soar again for the first time this year. An exceptional evening that will bring together over 35,000 spectators for a 4-hour live show. While the lineup remains somewhat mysterious for now, we are promised the best of French and international music, featuring artists from all styles and generations. Camille, Christine and the Queens, Jeanne Added, La Femme, Solann, and Youssef Swatt’s are expected to join the fun, while Miss Monique and Major Lazer Soundsystem will provide an electric after-show.
