The Editor

On June 13th, head over to the Point Fort d’Aubervilliers to soak up some music, good vibes, and solidarity. After three successful editions, the Emmaüs Solidarity Festival is back for a 4th edition that promises to be more festive than ever! With concerts, humor, interactive workshops, and activities for the whole family, this event celebrates what enriches us: human connections.

Created in 2023 by Emmaüs Solidarity, this cultural and civic gathering has become a highlight of community life in Île-de-France. Behind this grand festivity lies an exceptional organization that supports over 9,000 people daily who are facing precarious situations, exclusion, homelessness, or exile. A community rich in over 70 nationalities, bringing together diverse cultures, knowledge, and experiences that enrich the spirit of the festival.

The event that makes solidarity dance

This year again, the stage of the Emmaüs Festival...Umlaut's Solidarity takes us on a true musical world tour. As the master of ceremonies for this edition, Big S will set the tone with his unifying humor and contagious energy. When it comes to concerts, the lineup promises to be as eclectic as it is vibrant. Nayra will unveil her unfiltered rap, accompanied by Egyptian percussion and lyrics that are both raw and poetic. From Abidjan, Meiway, a key figure in African music and creator of zoblazo, will resonate with his ancestral rhythms and enchanting percussion. Sergio Alejandro, a rising star of the Latino-urban scene, will bring his pop and reggaeton flair, while Rachelle Allison will blend rap, trap, salsa, kompa, and gwoka into a musical universe as rich as it is mixed. And to keep the celebration going? There are DJ sets by Tatafio, Hadj Sameer, Hype Mada, and Divino that will have everyone dancing until the very end of the day.

But it’s impossible to imagine the Emmaüs Solidarité Festival without its must-see stand-up lineup. Loyal to the event since the very first edition, Waly Dia is back at the helm of this big stage dedicated to humor. For three whole hours, he'll welcome several stand-up personalities, including Tom Baldetti, Elsa Barrere, and other big names in the scene. It’s a joyful break full of jokes, good vibes, and sharp observations about our times, all wrapped up in the warm spirit that defines the festival.

A festival that brings people together and makes sense

Beyond the main stages, the festival is also experienced through a multitude of activities open to everyone. The teams from SHAM will be offering circus performances as well as juggling and acrobatics workshops for both kids and adults. The S.W.A.G. studio, which makes dance a true vector of inclusion, will host street jazz workshops and more.

The dance soul. A wonderful opportunity to discover talents from migration while getting introduced to urban dances in a friendly atmosphere. Relaxation enthusiasts can also enjoy a large open-air space with football sessions for kids and outdoor electro DJ sets.

And just like every year, the Vagabond Market will be one of the must-visit spots at the festival. It’s the perfect place to find a unique piece for the summer, fall in love with a second-hand clothing item, or discover the work of emerging artists and committed creators. More than just a simple market, this space celebrates the circular economy, independent creation, and initiatives that give a second life to both objects and talents.

In short, with its generous programming, family-friendly atmosphere, and commitment to inclusion, the Emmaüs Solidarity Festival once again stands out as one of the most inspiring events of the early summer!
