Maybe you already know about them, or perhaps you're about to make the most amazing discovery! On Thursday, October 15, 2026, the South Korean group Chudahye Chagis will perform in Paris, at the Guimet Museum, just days after their first show in Montpellier. This will be their very first performance in France — needless to say, you won't want to miss it.

Between shamanic chants and modern sounds

If you don't know Chudahye Chagis yet, allow us to fill you in. On stage, the group led by singer Chu Dahye reinvents ancestral Korean shamanic chants in a contemporary way, drawing from the healing rituals known as gut. You'll hear rock, psychedelic, pop and funk sounds blended with more traditional ones.

The South Korean group was born in 2019. It is made up of four members: Chu Dahye on vocals, Lee Si-mun on guitar, Kim Jae-ho on bass and Kim Da-vin on drums. The band has two albums to its credit: Underneath the Dangsan Tree Tonight released in 2020, and Sosuminjok released in 2025, which won the award for album of the year at the Korean Music Awards in 2026.

A grandiose show on every level

The marriage between tradition and modernity continues through the scenography and costumes inspired directly by Korean shamanism and folklore. But more than just an artistic performance, the group wishes to convey a true message of cultural resistance, and seeks to both please the audience and make them think.

<These concerts are part of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and South Korea. They will be presented as part of Touring K-Arts, in partnership with the Korean Cultural Center, with the support of the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Are you coming?
