Concerts, Open House events, conferences, and experiments… In January, Ircam celebrates in style!

For the start of this year, Ircam is celebrating! And for good reason: the legendary Projection Space is hosting a new music season. After being closed for several years for renovations, this venue will welcome us from January 12th to 17th for a succession of concerts, installations, meetings, and Open Doors. Electronic music and innovation fans, you know where to go!

A legendary venue

Ircam's Projection Space is a place of acoustical experimentation and musical exploration. Designed by Renzo Piano, the architect of the Centre Pompidou, with acoustician Victor Peutz and nestled 16 meters under Igor-Stravinsky Square, this place is a true gem, infinitely modular for the delight of sound and acoustics enthusiasts. After some work, we find this legendary space, open to all, with a brand new musical program and a sensational festive event.

It's time for the program

Join us on Saturday, January 14th for an exciting Open Day with a tempting lineup. We will explore the premises, which are not only an artist's laboratory but also a scientist's workshop. This is also our chance to watch film screenings and participate in unusual workshops. Music rehabilitation, a stroll with tinnitus, collective improvisation, sound exploration through movement... Even the children will have their own workshops, with an introduction to designing a video game voice or the creation of a Beast-Robot.

As the evening approaches, we will witness a variety of performances and mixes by electronic music gems. Jean-Michel Jarre, Deena Abdelwahed, Florent Caron Darras, Lucie Antunes, and Tovel will be part of it.
