A cinema session facing Mont-Blanc, how does that sound? This winter, The Arcs Film Festival is back for its 16th edition at the summit of the mountains, from December 14 to 21. All this in a warm atmosphere in the heart of the Alps, where screenings, concerts, and unforgettable encounters with today's and tomorrow's cinema talents come together.

This year again, the programming of the Arcs Film Festival stands out for its diversity and accessibility. At the heart of the festival, the official competition brings together 8 feature films from all over Europe, competing for the prestigious Crystal Arrow, and 14 short films...

Audiences will also have the chance to see exclusive previews of French films such as L’Attachement by Carine Tardieu or Par Amour by Élise Otzenberger, with the presence of the teams. ```Movie previews for unforgettable exchanges after each screening. Comedy, thriller, romance, fantasy, and melodrama—there's something for everyone's taste! Non-competitive films, grouped in the "Playtime" section, will also be shown to allow festival-goers to escape, featuring romantic comedies, immersive thrillers, and even fantastic works like Sister Midnight by Karan Kandhari or Bird by Andrea Arnold.
This rich program is complemented by a selection of bold films vying for the UniversCiné Heartthrob Award, in the "Height" section, perfect for cinephiles in search of original discoveries. For an immersion into the prestigious world of the Oscars, a special selection will showcase European films nominated for the Best International Feature Film Oscar. The festival also caters to younger audiences with a youth program designed just for them.c;lant projections, animations, and educational workshops to spark their artistic curiosity. Finally, special sessions will complement the offerings with unconventional films, providing audiences with beautiful moments of surprise and emotion. In short, a rich lineup available at an affordable price: €7.50 per session or €4.50 for a reduced rate and €34 for a cinema pass to access all screening.
Focus on Iceland
Each year, the festival highlights an invited country. After the Netherlands in 2023, it’s Iceland that will take center stage this winter, featuring a series of screenings that will immerse audiences in the breathtaking landscapes and cinematic culture of Iceland. With spectacular scenery and unique stories, fiction and documentary, the Land of Fire and Ice reveals to us the full extent of its talent.
