To celebrate the arrival of spring, the special Habibi edition of the Arabofolies festival offers us a whole new experience under the sign of love. From March 9th to March 18th, the Institute of the Arab World transforms into a true artistic hub where performances, concerts, screenings, and even karaoke take place.
This edition echoes the exhibition "Habibi, the revolutions of love", an open letter to sexual and gender identities in Arab culture. Romance, passion, and emotions will be at the heart of the 6 evenings that await us at the IMA auditorium.
And let's not forget the unforgettable concerts! The Arabofolies is the perfect opportunity for music lovers to immerse themselves in the magical sounds of Arab music. From traditional melodies to modern rhythms, these concerts will transport you to another world.
But the Arabofolies is not just about music. It's a celebration of Arab culture in all its forms. So don't miss out on the incredible performances, thought-provoking film screenings, and the chance to let your inner diva shine during the karaoke nights.
Bring your friends, your loved ones, or simply yourself, and join us for this joyous celebration of love and art at the Arabofolies festival. See you there! It's time for us to (re)discover sensitive and powerful artists, and one thing is for sure, their melodies are addictive. We start on Thursday, March 9th with the indie queer sound of Lebanese singer Mous Bahri, based in Annecy, who adds an oriental twist to Western music with electronic rhythms. On March 16th, we listen to Yelli Yelli, who intertwines identities and timeframes through Kabyle songs.
On March 17th, we continue to live in music with HALS, a project in seven acts. Oum, a singer of Amazigh origin born in Casablanca, sings to us in Darija or Berber about the condition of women, the state of the planet, the pain of migrants... Finally, on March 18th, Rasha Nahas, born in Haifa and now based in Berlin, will transmit her rock'n'roll poetry with jazz and folk influences.

It's your turn to become the star of Arabofolies
In addition to concerts, the Arab World Institute offers us exceptional evenings, including the screening of Djamel Fezzaz's Mélodie de l'espoir, a sensitive Algerian musical comedy. The screening is followed by a concert by the legendary Djalti, also known as "the angel of raï".
With Arabofolies, we become artists ourselves thanks to the giant karaoke Habibi special on March 10th. On-site, Naïma Huber Yahi, historian but above all karaoke queen, invites us to explore the cult and eternal songs that celebrate love and freedom. From Dalida to Mika, passing through Elton John and Cheb Abdou, with the sounds of pop raï and the great voices of the Arab world, all that's left is to take the stage and become the star we've always wanted to be.
