Until June 30th, the Monnaie de Paris awaits us in a simply sumptuous setting, to immerse us in the ultra vintage and colorful world of jukeboxes, arcade games, and other foosball tables. So, are you ready to play a little? It's easy: Insert Coin!

With its new exhibition Insert Coin, the Monnaie de Paris offers us a real journey through time. The cultural institution immerses us in the world of entertainment and coin-operated machines, from the 50s to the present day, thanks to breathtaking scenery and staging.

Place your bets

Insert Coin is a lively, fun, interactive exhibition, and we love it. Through meticulously crafted setups and an impressive collection of vintage machines, we journey through time to discover the evolution of pinball machines, foosball tables, and arcade games with great pleasure.

Each room, representing a decade from the 1950s to the 2000s, is designed like a public space (restaurant, bar, arcade) to immerse us in worlds where, let's be honest, we could easily spend hours.

And to make things even better - but for our greatest pleasure - the Monnaie de Paris provides us with specially minted tokens at the entrance to test the games. So, we highly recommend you to plan your afternoon accordingly, as you won't want to miss out on this exquisite experience.just for having fun to the max and impressing your friends at Frogger or Indiana Jones pinball (which makes you want to play it just by looking at it).

Exceptional pieces

To create such an exhibition, the museum called on collectors, in order to present only machines in working condition, whose sounds and lights instantly immerse us in a super vintage atmosphere and a bit nostalgic like we love them. Special mention to the reproduction of the arcade room, where time seems to stand still.

And above all, don't miss THE gem of the exhibition, a piece of exception in the literal sense of the term, since it is a coin. A nugget found by chance during the set-up of the exhibition, which is none other than a vintage coin, pierced by a pinball enthusiast and other Pac-Man, in order to pass a thread through it and Recover it again and again without repaying. Super smart, and 100% authentic.
