From Thursday, February 6, until Monday, March 10, the Jardin des Plantes is here to help you get through the last few weeks of winter with a little more sweetness. For the 12th edition, the exhibition One Thousand and One Orchids is making its grand return to the Grand Greenhouses of the famous Parisian garden.

Several Hundreds of Orchid Specimens on Display
It’s the annual event you won’t want to miss! As you stroll through, you’ll be surrounded by a lush botanical setting of 1000 m2 that invites you to discover orchids. With various sizes, shapes, and colors, you’ll be presented with several hundred specimens, whether they’re wild or cultivated. There are two paths for you to explore: one designed by Christophe Duminil, the curator of the Senate's orchid collection, and the other crafted by the gardeners from the Grandes Serres and the Arboretum of Versailles-Chèvreloup.

Fun Visits and Educational Workshops
Not only will you learn everything there is to know about orchids, from their history to how they thrive in their natural habitats, but you can also enhance your visit with exciting educational activities specially designed for this exhibition! Dive into repotting workshops and care sessions for your orchids. This year, there's something new to enjoy: a photography exhibition that showcases the different types of orchids in the wild, from all corners of the globe. It's a unique experience, perfect for family fun!
