From February 13, 2025, to January 4, 2026, the famous Parisian museum will offer us a remarkable and unprecedented immersion into the work of the "Catalan" with the exhibition Picasso. A new painting genius at the Atelier des Lumières
He is THE big name that hasn’t had his own exhibition yet. Nevertheless, a multitude of artists have already painted the walls of the Atelier des Lumières with their thousand and one colors: Van Gogh, Delacroix, Chagall, Klimt, Monet, Renoir… Luckily, Picasso will soon join the list! As a painter, sculptor, engraver, ceramist, and even a theater decorator, he truly changed the world and the history of art with his unique works and equally unique creative processes. By co-founding cubism, he freed himself from traditional academic codes to unleash his creativity and create vibrant and meaningful works.

Henri Rousseau Echoes Picasso
While the museum's long-term program will be dedicated to Picasso, the short-term program will shine a spotlight on the art of Henri Rousseau, also known as Le Douanier Rousseau. A major figure in naive art, this self-taught painter managed to create artworks where the botanical meets fantasy. His biggest inspiration? The Jardin des Plantes in Paris. Through his paintings, he immerses visitors not only in the Paris of the industrial era but also into lush landscapes that feel worthy of a jungle. “I don’t know if you’re like me, but when I step into those greenhouses and see those strange plants from exotic countries, it feels like I’m entering a dream,” he declared. Between cubism and dreaminess, 2025 is shaping up to be exciting!
