The end-of-year celebrations are coming up, so it's the perfect time to think about what you'll do with your family during the holidays. The Atelier des Lumières is extending its two current exhibitions until January 22, 2025: Asterix, the Immersive Journey, as well as Egypt of the Pharaohs: From Khufu to Ramses II. It’s the perfect opportunity to dive into two fascinating worlds and travel through time and space with your family.
Two exhibitions, two immersive worlds
To offer an optimal experience, the Atelier des Lumières is featuring an alternating schedule of its two exhibitions throughout the week. We start with Asterix, the immersive journey, launched on October 18, takes visitors to the legendary lands of our favorite Gauls. From Gaul to Hispania, passing through Great Britain and the pyramids of Egypt, the Atelier des Lumières invites us on a unique tour around the world in search of the druid Getafix. Here we (re)discover the iconic settings and characters from the comic strips and let ourselves be carried away by an enchanting soundtrack that energizes and humorously frames every scene.

On other days, The Egypt of the Pharaohs. From Khufu to Ramses II – which is already celebrating its 10-month anniversary at the Atelier des Lumières – invites you on a journey through the wonders of ancient Egypt. Majestic pyramids, historical frescoes, and the sarcophagi of the greatest pharaohs like Ramses II and Tutankhamun reveal all their splendor thanks to exceptional immersive technology set to a backdrop of classical and rock music. In the second part of the exhibition, you’ll discover The Orientalists, such as Ingres, Delacroix, and Gérôme, who painted their vision of the East revealed in a series of vibrant and colorful paintings.
To discover the adventures of Asterix, come visit us on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays; while on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays are dedicated to ancient Egypt and the Orientalists. This well-orchestrated schedule allows visitors to choose their favorite universe or plan a complete immersion for a double dose of fun at different times throughout the week!

With an extension until January 22nd, these two exhibitions are a must-see during the Christmas holidays! No matter your age or that of your loved ones, the Atelier des Lumières promises to amaze all generations with its spectacular creations. From music to animations, and the rich cultural experience of each universe, everything has been designed for an unforgettable experience.

Please note that during the holiday season, the Atelier des Lumières will adopt a different schedule, from December 20, 2024, to January 5, 2025: Asterix, the immersive journey will be shown every day from Monday to Saturday, while The Egypt of the Pharaohs and The Orientalists will be shown only on Sundays.
