The Editor

Born in Chicago in 2006 at the initiative of the specialized site, Pitchfork Media, the festival quickly became a must-attend event in the alternative scene.

Over 10 years of success in France

Since 2011, the Pitchfork Music Festival Paris has brought this vibe across the Atlantic, taking over the Grande Halle de la Villette for three days of discoveries and international performances. True to the spirit of the American version, the French edition stands out as a showcase of independent creativity and a barometer of contemporary musical trends.

Pitchfork Music Festival Paris: the event not to be missed

This year, the festival has spread out across several concert halls and clubs in Paris: l'Olympia, le Trabendo, l'Elysée Montmartre, le Badaboum, le Trianon, le Silencio, laGalerie du PopUp! and le Café de la Danse.

Pitchfork, a website that has been thriving for 30 years

At the heart of this event is the website Pitchfork, founded in 1995, which has built a solid reputation in independent music criticism. Considered a reference alongside Rolling Stone and Spin, the media was acquired by Condé Nast in 2015. In January 2024, the group announced its integration into GQ magazine, leading to an internal reorganization and several layoffs, reflecting the ongoing changes in the landscape of music journalism.

On the agenda: the artists that will be in your future playlist

True to its reputation for being cutting-edge, the Pitchfork Music Festival, known for discovering emerging artists, played a key role in introducing Bon Iver by featuring his self-released album For Emma, Forever Ago in its top albums of the year in 2007. The festival is a much-anticipated event for fans of fresh talent. The artists lined up for the festival are often the next big names in the music scene, like Miso Extra, Muddy Monk, Amaarae, Shygirl from the 2021 edition, and Jamie xx, Caribou, The War on Drugs, James Blake, and Jungle from the 2014 edition.

This year, artists like Blood Orange, Saya Gray, Erika de Casier, A.G. Cook, Destiino, CHLOE, and Marie Davidson are expected to perform. We can’t wait! The only little downside is the price... Don’t expect party prices, but rather concert prices: around 30 euros per night. Luckily, there’s a great deal: you can get a day pass for 30 euros that grants you access to all concerts scheduled for that day!

For more information, we’ll see you on the website!
