It's on Buzenval Street, just a few meters from the station of the same name, where Annie practices pottery and unveils her original creations. As you step into her workshop-store, you'll discover shelves filled with ceramics of all kinds: cups, vases, sculptures, plates, platters, jewelry... Some are painted, others are still in raw clay, sometimes not even baked yet. It's like a true Aladdin's cave dedicated to ceramics that opens its doors to us. From computer programming to pottery Former math teacher, then involved in creating a computer company and finally a consultant, the seventy-year-old has always been "passionate about clay," she confesses. "Ever since I was a child, I've loved playing with clay. It's like a magical material that allows me to express my creativity in a unique way."Born to take pottery lessons when I was 30 years old. For 20 years, she practiced ceramics alongside her professional life, taking workshops and evening classes as a way to relax. It wasn't until she was 55 years old that she finally decided to fully dedicate herself to her passion. After deepening her skills in throwing and modeling, learning to make her own glazes, and discovering "raku," a Japanese glazing technique that became her trademark, Annie opened her first workshop near Faidherbe-Chaligny in the 11th arrondissement before moving to her preferred neighborhood about ten years ago. Here, she works with stoneware and porcelain to create unique and personal pieces. She places a special emphasis on the final touch, aiming to create a physical connection between the object and its user.Artist Asalome Rateau has a fascination for materials and loves creating pieces with varied textures. These pieces are marked by fire and different enamels used in a random way. In fact, her creations have earned her a place in several pastry books by Maison Lenôtre.

A welcoming and sharing space

As a small, sunny, and smiling woman, the ceramist now shares her passion for pottery with others through workshops and pottery classes, alongside Stéphanie, with whom she shares her studio. As founders of the Terre en Tête association, the two ceramists open their doors to beginners and experienced individuals, adults and children alike, to discover the joy of pottery. The highlight of these classes? You get to choose the object you want to create, without any restrictions.

In the measure of your skills, of course.
