Oh la la! A new study commissioned by the English hotel chain Premier Inn has just been released, revealing the most beautiful flower-filled places in the world. And France manages to win the silver medal, thanks to a small green oasis less than an hour from Paris. The ideal place for your future bucolic strolls, to plan on one of the many May weekends.

Alright, let's not lie to ourselves, for now, springtime in Paris isn't quite there yet. Thankfully, for those who are craving some greenery, flowers, and birds singing, there is a little corner of paradise less than an hour away from Paris that you can trade your umbrella for: the Garden of Claude Monet in Giverny. And this absolutely magical place has been voted the 2nd most beautiful floral panorama in the world! A scientific study on beauty To create this ranking, specialists presented a panel of volunteers with around fifty photos of the most beautiful flowers around the world. Using eye-tracking technology, they then determined the average time spent on each image. The longer the duration, the more the presented scenery is considered attractive, and therefore beautiful.

This is how the sublime flower gardens of Giverny were able to reach the second place on the podium, with an average time of 3.46 seconds, behind Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, and its daisy beds, at 3.89 seconds. So, yes, we know that, said like this, it seems trivial, but when you know the average concentration time of people in the age of Instagram and Twitter (worse than a goldfish), we can say that it's not so bad after all.
