A new metro line is joining the list of disruptions coming this spring in Paris. From Monday, May 6 to Sunday, May 12 inclusive, traffic will be interrupted on line 7, between La Courneuve - 8 Mai 1945 and Gare de l'Est stations due to construction work. The RATP indicates that replacement buses will be in operation during the entire period of disruptions.

Ten metro stations closed in May

If you are used to taking line 7 to go to work, drop off the kids at school, or just get around the city, you will need to make some adjustments. For seven consecutive days, the following stations La Courneuve - 8 Mai 1945, Fort d'Aubervilliers, Aubervilliers - Pantin - Quatre Chemins, Porte de la Villette, Corentin Cariou, Crimée, Riquet, Stalingrad, Louis Blanc and Château-Landon will be completely closed. Gare de l'Est station will serve as the terminus for the duration of the works.

Don't worry! If you need to travel between La Courneuve – 8 Mai 1945 and Stalingrad stations, substitute buses are available. RATP advises that there may be some delays, so consider taking metro lines 4 and 5, tram 3b, or RER B instead.

Changes to Transportation Services

It's not just line 7 that will be affected. Line 14 will also be closed from May 8 to May 12, and then again on May 25 and 26 to allow for extension works.
