JO 2024: the city launches Olympics by district!

We know the Olympics are coming up fast, turning the capital into a chaotic mess. But why not take a moment to relax and enjoy a human-scale version of the games, to fill up with joy and positive vibes before the summer chaos? That's what Paris is offering, with a big competition between the districts. It's your time to shine! This summer, join in on a unique event to exercise, show off your skills, or simply have fun with friends and family. Starting on June 22, the city invites you to participate in the Games, with events within districts and between districts all around Paris. Paris becomes an open-air stadium, welcoming athletes, sports fans, and supporters alike.

3x3 basketball, table tennis, boccia (a Paralympic event similar to indoor bowling), breaking, 60 metres, laser run (a combination of running and shooting) and 50 metres freestyle swimming are the different categories in which you have the opportunity to shine. These are open events for everyone, starting from 7 years old, subject to availability. Every registration gives you the chance to be part of a raffle to win tickets to the Olympic Games, tickets that will be automatically given to all winners.

Event schedule

To participate in this exciting adventure, you can sign up online now until June 9 to register for team events: boccia, table tennis and basketball. For all other events, you can sign up on the spot on the day of the event. Let's play and enjoy sports together!You can register on the day of the event by simply filling out a consent form, already available online. Only breaking requires prior registration, for events taking place on June 22, 23, 29, and 30. For the rest of the competition, you can participate directly on the day of the event. Have fun and enjoy the sports!Get ready to participate in the qualifying rounds from June 22 to July 5 in one of the 16 districts involved (with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th districts being grouped together in the Center). On July 6, the district finals will take place to try to qualify for the big Parisian final on July 13. Throughout the day, the finals of each discipline will be held at Charléty Stadium (13th district) and Georges-Hermant swimming pool (19th district). It will be a festive and sporty day, less than a week before the inauguration of the Olympics.
