After The Devil Wears Prada was adapted into a musical, another one of our favorites is making its way to the stage, and this time in Paris! On April 26, 2026, the Folies Bergère will host the creator of the character Carrie Bradshaw, the icon for many generations. With the show True Tales of Sex, Success, and Sex and the City, Candace Bushnell—the author of the novel Sex and the City that inspired the series—will be on stage for the first time, giving the French audience a chance to meet the woman who changed the world of pop culture. The entire show will be in English!

A show to dive back into the world of Sex and the City
After the pages and the screen, Candace Bushnell is now taking the stage by storm! On April 26th, she will continue her exploration of femininity without any taboos, just as she did when she brought Carrie Bradshaw to life 30 years ago. Love, sexuality, freedom, solitude, ambition… Just like in the famous series, the themes explored will be broad, and Candace Bushnell will take the audience right into Manhattan, into the world of Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha.

From a Column to a Global Phenomenon
Candace Bushnell settles in New York in the 1980s. She explores all aspects of women's lives there. Her columns on themes of love and sex, written for the New York Observer, titled Sex and the City, are adapted into a novel of the same name, where we follow Carrie Bradshaw and her three thirty-something single friends on their adventures.

From 1998 to 2004, HBO aired an eponymous series created by Darren Star, featuring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Kim Cattrall. So it’s at the Folies Bergère that you can meet the "real Carrie Bradshaw," who continues to inspire women seeking independence even today!
