We knew that 2026 was going to be a year full of surprises! And one of the most spectacular is coming this spring. On April 18th and 19th, the Paris Opera Ballet will be gracing an absolutely exceptional venue: under the Louvre Pyramid, for two enchanting evenings of performances. Alongside the musicians from the Paris National Opera Orchestra, the Stars of the Ballet will present an intimate and poetic show.
A program composed of four works
As part of the exhibition “Michelangelo, Rodin. Living Bodies,” the Louvre invites the greatest dancers for two unique evenings. Through their movements, the artists will pay tribute to the two.
x geniuses of sculpture. Great duets from the Opera repertoire and an original creation by Yvon Demol, a dancer from the Ballet, will be presented to the public, allowing for a wonderful parallel with the exhibition. We will particularly admire an excerpt from Rhapsody, choreographed by Frederick Ashton to the music of Sergei Rachmaninov, The Park, choreographed by Angelin Preljocaj to music by Mozart, and Three Gnossiennes, choreographed by Hans Van Manen to music by Erik Satie.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
The biggest stars of the Paris Opera Ballet under the Louvre pyramid
For this occasion, a fantastic cast has been selected: the Stars of the Paris Opera Ballet Léonore Baulac, Dorothée Gilbert, Guillaume Diop, Hugo Marchand, and Marc Moreau, as well as the principal dancer Silvia Saint-Martin and dancers Adèle Belem and Loup Marcault-Derouard will be on stage.

Before or after the performance, the audience will be invited to discover the exhibition in the Louvre galleries, which will have extended opening hours just for this event. A unique encounter between dance and sculpture, not to be missed!
