The Editor

Parisians, you believe you know the capital inside and out because you have wandered its streets since you could walk? Think again, the City of Light still has its secrets and mysteries... However, it will reveal itself even more thanks to a new initiative by the City Hall of Paris, which now wants to uncover usually closed unusual places to the public during "very very private" visits.

First Step: The Contemporary Art Fund

In October, the City kicks off by inviting you to visit the reserves of the Contemporary Art Fund, which are usually off-limits to the public. Over 23,400 works have been accumulated over two centuries in these confidential municipal collections. They will be exceptionally unveiled to a few lucky people on Thursday, October 12th, from 2pm to 4pm. All thanks to a collaboration with Julie Gandini, territorial heritage curator, who will guide you through a carefully preserved labyrinth of contemporary artworks.

To win a spot and have a chance to participate in this first edition, a quiz has been posted on the City's website: art enthusiasts can test their knowledge and try to secure their place.Contemporary people have every interest in believing in their lucky star!
