Les Faux British is making its comeback on the Parisian stage with one simple wish: to make us laugh out loud. After being awarded the Molière for Comedy in 2016 and completing a sold-out tour, this hilarious play is once again revealed at the Comédie des Champs-Élysées, full of madness and reserved gags.
A whimsical pitch
Seven fans of British crime novels decide to join forces and create a completely unprecedented show, even though none of them have any experience in theater. And as you can imagine, the result is hilarious. The chosen play? A work straight out of the mind of the great Conan Doyle (or at least, that's what they claim). We are transported to the 19th century, right in the middle of an English manor. Then the events unfold: an engagement party turns into a night of misunderstandings and mistaken identities, with a series of hilarious twists and turns.
Gossip, murder, and an investigation... Our seven "fake actors" will regret it and realize that putting on a theater play is more complicated than it seems. Disasters keep happening, and we get a good dose of laughter.
