The Editor

Meetings, signings, shows... The Paris Book Festival is back in 2026 with a lineup more vibrant than ever. This year, the event is shining a light on youth and offering a wealth of unique experiences, including a nighttime event to keep the celebration going. Whether you're an avid reader or just a curious soul, it's hard not to find something to love.

The Literary Gathering

In total, 1,200 authors, 450 publishing houses, and 115,000 festival-goers are expected under the grand nave of the Grand Palais, all centered around one theme: the journey. Many prestigious names will be present, such as Zep, Hugo Clément, and Leïla Slimani. What's the big new feature this year? A culinary nighttime event on Friday evening where literature, poetry, and theater will be discussed... accompanied by culinary art pieces and delightful table settings. It's a fantastic way to combine the pleasure of the taste buds with the spirit. We absolutely love it!

Plenty of Activities

On Saturday, get ready for the open spelling bee for all levels (beginners, intermediate, or experts)! You'll have the chance to compete against about 600 other participants in a one-of-a-kind competition. Meanwhile, kids can enjoy their dedicated space with a Gaston Lagaffe corner and the Philharmonie des enfants area.

If you're a fan of quirky humor, the "Cabaret Extra" will also offer some eccentric literary activities (lip sync, singing...) featuring absurd characters, and you can watch the creation of a participatory mural about migration. Plenty to keep you busy all weekend long!

 Cultures in the Spotlight

Throughout the festivities, various cultures and types of travel will be highlighted. We’ll discuss physical journeys, inner explorations, as well as migration, exile, and ecology through a variety of events and activities: masterclasses, author meet-and-greets, book signings, and workshops. Far from being just a cultural fair, the Paris Book Festival is committed to promoting and sharing important and ethical civic values.

Art as a meeting and reflection ground is what the Grand Palais will offer us this weekend.
