The Editor

We all have the Paris metro map in mind. It's a buttery yellow color, with its almost hexagonal shape and ultra-geometric lines representing the tracks. Well, forget everything you imagine, this week, it’s completely transforming before our eyes in a new collective exhibition that’s free! From Thursday, April 9 to Sunday, April 12, 2026, dive into the world of the Paris metro like never before!

An Iconic Canvas

It's not uncommon, when wandering through the corridors and train cars of the Paris metro, to spot graffiti here and there, signed by the street artists of the capital. This decoration is now an integral part of our daily lives, but it takes on a whole new dimension thanks to the collective Urban Signature, which has now decided…

e; to honor the Paris metro map. A plain, everyday poster, which we walk past without noticing, yet it can provide us with great services, now elevated to the status of a true work of art.

A Variety of Perspectives

For this occasion, more than thirty artists have come together in a gallery in the 3rd arrondissement to present you with a free exhibition that reimagines the metro, offering a modern vision that breaks away from the routine and the sometimes negative perception people might have of this mode of transport. In a delightful mix of poetry, humor, and political commentary, the Paris metro map is reinterpreted by some of the biggest street artists of the moment, like Hopare, Louyz, Raf Urban, Emyart's, Toctoc, Sax, Le D., Ador, Nasty, Ardif, and Mesnager, a pioneer of Parisian street art. Using the same base, they deliver unique artworks, re-envisioning the map in the form of totems, featuring a rat or even covering it with The Origin of the World by Gustave Courbet.t.
