It’s been almost a year and a half since the note “ temporarily closed ” pops up with every search for the Musée de la Vie romantique. Closed since September 16, 2024, for renovations, it hasn’t welcomed any visitors since, but that’s about to change! The reopening date has just been announced, and it’s no coincidence: mark your calendars for February 14, 2026 to discover a revamped museum!

A transformed museum that's more accessible
New visit path, enhanced accessibility, and greater inclusivity… The Romantic Life Museum promises to offer a whole new approach to its visitors. Starting from February 14, 2026, music, readings, and an app will be added to the tour of this bourgeois house. More information, more immersion, all while preserving the essence and identity of the place: an artist's house from 1830. Ary Scheffer, a central figure in romanticism, holds a place of honor there.
