There are some shows that you could watch over and over again, year after year. And La Haine: So far, nothing has changed, a stage adaptation of the cult film by Mathieu Kassovitz, is definitely one of them. So when we found out it’s coming back to La Seine Musicale starting November 7, 2025, just a year after it first dazzled audiences, it didn’t take much for us to jump for joy!

A show that enchants just like the cult film
In November 2024, nearly 30 years after the release of La Haine in theaters, the curtain at La Seine Musicale rose to let the public experience its adaptation into a musical. This film has become a classic of French cinema, awarded three prizes including a César, captivating audiences just as much as its stage adaptation did last year: the show was nominated for the Molière for Visual and Sound Creation, and given the excitement, its Paris residency was extended.

A powerful story that still resonates today
Vinz, Saïd, and Hubert are three young people from the suburbs who face violence, financial difficulties, social and political challenges, yet are bound together by unyielding friendship. More relevant than ever, this show is also an ode to love and solidarity. Through 14 scenes, the actors, including the must-see trio Alexender Ferrario (Vinz), Samy Belkessa (Saïd), and Alivor (Hubert), blend dance, cinema, rap, theater, and live performance. A generous combo packed with talent and humanity, connecting the 1995 film to today. You can (re)discover it on stage this autumn.
