Attention contemporary art lovers: in October, the contemporary art fair Paris+, organized by Art Basel, takes over the streets of the capital! While the event is mainly popular among professionals and collectors, several monumental installations will be displayed in various spots and cultural institutions in Paris, to our great delight. Moreover, they will be visible free of charge. See you there starting from October 18th.

Artworks at the Museum of Fine Arts and the Tuileries Garden

This year, the artworks will be presented in five iconic locations in the capital: the Tuileries Garden, Place Vendôme, the chapel of the Museum of Fine Arts, the Palais d'Iéna, and the forecourt of the Institut de France.

In the Tuileries garden, a collective exhibition bringing together no less than a dozen artists, in collaboration with the Louvre museum, questions our relationship with nature, while on the Place Vendôme, a gigantic aluminum wave created by Swiss artist Urs Fischer will try to carry you away into its depths.

On the forecourt of the Institut de France, facing the Pont des Arts, Sheila Hicks' installation reveals a six-meter-high column covered in multicolored threads, whose vibrant chromatic palette contrasts with the surrounding monuments. The chapel of the Academy of Fine Arts will host an exhibition by British artist Jessica Warboys, combining a multi-channel video and sound installation with a large canvas collage.

A summit meeting at the Palais d'Iéna

Finally, the Palais d'Iéna will be the meeting place for Daniel Buren—the author of the columns installed in theThe cour d'honneur of the Palais-Royal, since the 80s, has been the stage for numerous art installations, including those by Michelangelo Pistoletto, two pioneers of site-specific art. At this moment, no information has been revealed about the program of this duo exhibition, but their works undoubtedly promise to disrupt the usual sobriety of the building.
