What if, for one lovely evening, you were given the chance to travel to the other side of the planet and dive into the Japanese culture? That’s the brilliant program – in every sense of the word – that the Jardin d’Acclimatation invites you to experience this year. Throughout the winter, each evening offers visitors the chance to stroll through the streets of Tokyo, marvel at Mount Fuji, or get stars in their eyes by , just like over 150,000 visitors before you. And how perfect, as the upcoming holidays give you the perfect opportunity to check it out before it ends!

Thousands of lanterns like so many stars

For over 2 months now, and for a few more weeks to come, more than 2,000 custom lanterns decorate the paths of the Jardin d’Acclimatation. Together, they create a 3-step journey that takes you from Kyoto.

In Tokyo, in a vibrant and unique atmosphere. First, dive into the pure Japanese tradition by wandering through Shinto and Buddhist temples, accompanied by the legendary samurais. Then, The Pop-Modern Odyssey takes you into contemporary Japan, celebrating the creative energy of this country, discovering kawaii icons and manga culture, which is now exported all over the world. Finally, to finish beautifully, pay homage to nature in Japan, through cherry blossoms, ponds filled with koi fish, or even bonsais planted in the shade of Mount Fuji…

A Total Immersion

For the most indulgent, this magical outing is also the perfect opportunity to delight in specialties straight from the Land of the Rising Sun. Indeed, a true food court awaits you at the end of the journey for a tasty Asian culinary break. On the menu, you'll find gyozas, ramens, mochis, as well as hearty winter specialties from our own home, like hot chocolate, pretzels, and mulled wine, to combine the best of both worlds. Finally, the showstopper, the Big Wheel of the Garden offers a panoramic view of the entire journey from above, as well as the Louis Vuitton Foundation, the Bois de Boulogne, and more broadly, the rooftops of Paris in the distance. At 20 meters high, it’s a magical conclusion to this enchanting show, which will soon come to an end!
