In Paris, summer means movies under the stars! With deck chairs set up on the grass, sunsets as the backdrop, and masterpieces of cinema projected on a big screen: the outdoor cinemas have become a must-see of the season. And after Villette, Plaza Athénée, and the Vedettes, it's now the Musée du Quai Branly that reveals its lineup as part of Jardin d'été, a free festival featuring workshops, storytelling, cultural discoveries from around the world, and, as you awaited, outdoor cinema with intense flavors!

Savoring Screenings Day After Day
From July 10 to August 3, the museum's gardens will transform into a real open-air cinema. In two parts, the event brings back its "summer Thursdays, delicious evenings where chefs and directors share the spotlight, followed by family screenings every weekend. Everything is designed to awaken both your taste buds and your senses : culinary activities precede the films, and each screening is a travel invitation, taking you from Japan to India, with stops in Louisiana and China.
Among the standout films of this edition, we have the screenings (in French) of Tampopo by Juzo Itami, preceded by a chat with chef Mory Sacko (Thursday, July 10) ; some ReceThe Taste of Happiness with chef Sanjee (Thursday, July 17 and 31), or the delightful Delights of Tokyo by Naomi Kawase (Thursday, July 24). The weekend program is just as tempting with Spirited Away (Saturday, July 19), Kung Fu Panda (Sunday, July 20), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Sunday, July 27), and Linda Wants Chicken, César 2024 for Best Animated Film (Sunday, August 3). All screenings are free, but require online reservations starting on Friday, June 27, at 10 AM.

A Summer Garden to Travel
Alongside the outdoor cinema, the museum transforms into a true lively and festive space with its Summer Garden, featuring a friendly and immersive program right in the heart of its green spaces. This year, the theme revolves around Flavors and Cuisines of the World, offering a sensory journey through workshops, tastings, and meetings with chefs from diverse backgrounds. On July 5th and 6th, the opening weekend will set the tone with stories, concerts, apéro-talks, and activities for everyone, before continuing the summer with green walks, quizzes, readings at the Summer Lounge, and fun workshops centered around taste.
