She has been the icon for many generations. Captivating, elegant, bold, free… Brigitte Bardot changed the world with her beauty, her acting talents, and her deep convictions. As the one affectionately known as « BB » left us on December 28th at the age of 91, the Galerie de l’Instant has decided to showcase a unique photographic retrospective of the artist, from January 29 to March 29, 2026. For two months, it will be possible to come and admire the exhibition And God… created Bardot, a name chosen in reference to the film that made the actress famous.

A model of independence
After Vanessa Paradis, here comes Brigitte Bardot taking over the walls of the Galerie de l’Instant. In this exhibition curated by Julia Gragnon, BB reveals herself in every way; sometimes a fashion icon, sometimes a symbol of female independence.
While her stances have sometimes — often — been divisive, it’s about " the impact Bardot had on society, crystallizing so many generational changes in her time », that the exhibition seeks to highlight, according to the curator.
In her appearances as well as in her natural self
Sensual, light... The various photographs exhibited include “« period prints, mostly vintage and unique », as well as “« behind-the-scenes shots, event photos ». Known for her iconic hairstyles from the 50s to the 70s, along with particularly varied fashion styles, Julia Gragnon is adamant: “ It’s the natural look that moves me the most, without any touch-ups... » For those who wish to get a sneak peek of these photos, the opening will be on Thursday, January 29, 2026, starting at 6 PM.
