While they were both actors of modern art, exploring different movements such as expressionism and surrealism, Chagall and Klee are mainly united by their use of vibrant colors and abstract forms. They both had a profound impact in the art world.
Influenced by the world of fables and myths, as well as the circus and opera.
A stroll between Paris and New York with Marc Chagall
A prolific and unique painter, Marc Chagall spent a large part of his life between Paris and New York, iconic capitals of modern art, where he encountered cubist and fauve movements, as well as sculpture, ceramics, stained glass, mosaics, collages, and more.

The one-hour exhibition presents his entire body of work, unveiling an artwork deeply rooted in its time, intersecting with the artistic and cultural innovations of his century and constantly evolving. Here, we discover his paintings of the French capital, his time in Russia in Vitebsk, his passion for the Fables de la Fontaine that his wife used to tell him, his interpretation of war and the Holocaust, and finally, his discovery of New York, his work on stained glass windows, ceramics, his portrayal of biblical scenes, and so on.
In short, Marc Chagall from every angle, translated in a poetic manner, all accompanied by excerpts from m...
Classical music, klezmer or jazz.
The musical journey of Paul Klee
On the side of Paul Klee, the Atelier des Lumières presents, for about ten minutes, the colorful and poetic works of the painter. Seemingly childish, his compositions highlight a great variety of techniques and a richness of imagination. An immersive experience set to the music of The Magic Flute, (a nod to Klee's fascination with opera) during which we witness, among other things, the opening of an opera in an imaginary city and a subaquatic concerto surrounded by golden and multicolored fish.
