The Editor

So, how do you sum up two centuries of visual revolutions without making it feel like flipping through an old school textbook? That’s the challenge of this event, which has chosen to swap linear chronology for a much more playful approach. Get ready for a free and lively journey designed to spark your curiosity at every turn!

A journey through the century in 26 letters

From June 10 to September 13, 2026, the exhibition Photography in Every Letter breaks the mold of a classic retrospective by adopting the structure of an alphabet. The idea is simple: here, each letter of the alphabet opens a door to a word, then to an image. It’s a clever and poetic way to tell the story of two centuries of photography without ever falling into...in a slightly dusty history class.

On the agenda, 34 artists from completely different backgrounds and eras, iconic images from the magazine LIFE, contemporary works, and above all, a unique dialogue between the collections of la MEP and the collection from the company Neuflize OBC, a faithful partner of the venue for 30 years.

What Awaits Visitors

The coolest thing about all this? There’s not really a guide. You wander, you mix, you interpret. As you move through the letters, the images respond, styles blend, and eras intersect in a joyous visual bazaar that's super stimulating.

An exhibition that’s both rich and accessible, perfect for hanging out in the cool this summer while experiencing a massive aesthetic shock.
