The Editor

The Théâtre Lepic never fails to amaze us with performances that are increasingly diverse, powerful, and moving. The latest one? Bollywood Boulevard, a one-woman show created and performed by Pauline Caupenne, directed by Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet. Playing every Sunday at 5 PM, this show takes us on a fabulous journey to India, seeking both self-discovery and meaning. Here are three reasons to make it the highlight of your next weekend!

1. A true story turned into a play

On stage, Pauline Caupenne does not play a fictional character: this play is her story. At 20, she leaves France, her family, and her studies to embark on a journey to India. Who is she? What is the meaning of life? What purpose does she want to give to her life? Pauline searches for answers to her questions in a foreign land and finds herself immersed in a country where life has a different rhythm, filled with numerous beliefs, where spirituality is central. By the greatest chance, she is spotted to act in a Tollywood film — the Telugu cinema. Without any artifice or costume changes, Pauline Caupenne transforms, right before our eyes, into Polin Mischa, an Indian actress. It's a story worthy of the most elaborate screenplays, yet it couldn't be more real.

punctuated with touches of humor, music, and even excerpts from the film.

2. A one-woman show... but never really alone

The actress is indeed alone on stage, but she brings an entire world to life. With precision and speed, a voice, a glance, or a simple gesture, she transforms into a yoga teacher, a casting director, her scene partner, and more.

the director of the film, a man met by chance at the airport, his mother, or even his father. The set design, minimalist and effective, allows for this obvious fluidity, and these 16 characters—real, we remind you—who contribute to the progress of this once-in-a-lifetime journey, summarized in just one hour.

3. A story we can all relate to

Through her sincerity and magnetism, Pauline Caupenne shares this life stage as if it's the first time. Why does it touch us right in the heart? Because she dares to speak the truth, sharing both the wonders and the disappointments, the questions and the realizations. Because she puts words to the feelings that anyone whose life has been transformed by a trip or by a leap into the unknown has experienced.

From her personal journey, she creates something universal. A narrative that embraces us, gently whispering that sometimes, stepping away allows us to find ourselves better and reminding us that whether here or elsewhere, our questions always end up finding their answers.
