When their destinies intertwine in the emergency room waiting area of a hospital, Mathilde and Pilar find themselves at a turning point in their lives. One is waiting for news about her husband, affected by a fire. The other is anxious to find out whether her son will recover from the injuries caused by a terrible fall. Together, they take us on a journey between past and present to trace the choices that have led them to this moment and to explore whether, yes or no, life could have unfolded differently.
Perfectly Controlled Tension
From the very first minutes of the show, we are captivated by the words and actions of these two women, brought together here by the force of circumstances. With stunning accuracy, Fabrice Tosoni, who also directs, presents us with a play that is as deep as it is poetic, inviting us to question our view of life. To achieve this, he connects to a universal feeling: guilt, embodied here by two women gripped by a terrible fear: that the.your choices have, literally, become a matter of life or death.

For a little over an hour, we are swept away into this story that we are dying to uncover. The situations and anecdotes flow one after another, sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking, taking us on a journey through space and time and helping us understand how these two women came to be.here, if indeed this situation truly arises from their own will. A moment rich in emotions, brought to life by exceptional actresses who together embody a multitude of characters, all enhanced by a brilliantly crafted staging.
A stunningly precise production
On stage, 6 plastic chairs and a few neon lights. That's all it takes for Carine Ribert and Lily Rubens to take us on a journey through their lives. A beautifully minimalist set, which transforms from scene to scene to take us from situation to situation, while maintaining a sense of universality that allows everyone to poetically imagine the rest of the scene. Music and lighting suggest without ever imposing, leaving the audience with the opportunity to project their own story, their own destiny.

Thanks to this freedom of interpretation, a special connection is created with the two actresses, enhanced by this intimate theater and stage. Both Carine Ribert and Lily Rubens deliver an incredible performance. They brilliantly embody about fifteen characters, portraying men, children, doctors, and friends, immersing us in their memories. It’s a human, universal play so expertly crafted that it’s impossible not to think that destiny has a hand in it…
