Indeed, the year 2026 is shaping up to be full of cultural venue reopenings. After L'Étoile Voltaire, Main Jaune, Musée de la Vie Romantique, Bus Paladium, and even Passage, there’s a new capital institution ready to announce its reopening date. And for the Centre culturel suisse, located on Rue des Francs-Bourgeois in the 3rd, it will happen on March 26th.
A Complete Transformation
In 2022, the Centre culturel suisse closed its doors to undergo a Renovation comprehensive of its historic building. On the agenda for this massive construction project, envisioned by the franco-swiss architect duo ASBR and Truwant+Rodet+, is a complete transformation of the interior spaces, to “provide a more fluid flow and a versatility in the artistic uses of its spaces.”

In addition to 3 large modular spaces that will host exhibitions, shows, concerts, and other meetings, visitors will be able to enjoy the bookstore, which was already present 4 years ago but has been completely reimagined, as well as a new dining area, where they will of course find a whole bunch of Swiss specialties. Cheeses, chocolates, we’re already licking our lips.
An Exceptional Program
To celebrate this reopening in style, the Swiss Cultural Center has decided to pull out all the stops by creating a program that highlights contemporary Swiss creation. There will be 3 exhibitions (by Akosua Viktoria Adu-Sanyah, Mai-Thu Perret, and Ingeborg Lüscher), 6 shows, concerts, and more!festivals (Purple Music Festival 2026 and Allover Festival), or even meetings. One thing is for sure, this year you will have a thousand and one opportunities to visit this institution that should soon reclaim its place in the Parisian cultural scene.
