As 2025 comes to a close, we can’t help but think of one thing: the spectacular shows that await us in 2026. It's simple, we dream of music, of performers shining under the spotlight, breathtaking dancers, and orchestras that send shivers down our spines with every note played.

It seems that at La Seine Musicale, our biggest wishes are about to come true. There will be dance, musical comedies, concerts, and a touch of jazz too… The 2026 season promises to dazzle our eyes and ears. And for those still searching for Christmas gift ideas for your loved ones, why not slip a concert or show under the tree this year?

Shows that blend classical and contemporary worlds

New year, new resolutions, new...

Programming. It’s time to allow ourselves to see things in a very... very big way! On the side of live performances — especially dance — the tone is set: there will be grandeur and plenty of wonder. From January 7 to 11, 2026, Benjamin Millepied will make his grand return to La Seine Musicale with his reimagining of the classic The Nutcracker, featuring sets and costumes designed by Paul Cox. On stage, the 22 dancers will be accompanied by the orchestral works of Tchaikovsky, performed by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice.

For Valentine's Day, on February 14, 2026, get ready for a Symphony of the Body featuring Beethoven's tunes, choreographed by Marie-Claude Pietragalla and Julien Derouault, taking over the Auditorium. From March 12 to 15, it's time for the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, showcasing the iconic ballets of Maurice Béjart along with The Firebird by Stravinsky and Boléro by Ravel, creating a powerful and unique triptych.

The musical comedy won't be left out! Sting will present his show The Last Ship from February 18 to March 7. Inspired by his own childhood, this work that he wrote and composed pays a vibrant tribute to the shipyards of northern England. From March 20 to 22, Black Legends will take us on a journey through a century of African-American music. From Ray Charles to Beyoncé, including Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye, and Michael Jackson, this sparkling odyssey will make you want to sing just as much as to dance!
