Cache-Cache Nerveux, the play that will have you rolling with laughter at the Comédie Saint-Michel

Take a small intimate room, an explosive and absurd trio, a few good lines, and there you have it. The meeting place? La Comédie Saint-Michel, ideally located facing the Luxembourg Gardens and always ready to introduce us to small but fun plays. This time, it's "Cache-Cache Nerveux" that caught our attention. A crazy comedy written by Patrick Garcia and directed by Murièle Agherman. Once the curtain is raised, get ready for an hour of laughter with three joyful characters. On stage, we have Franck, a corrupt and slightly bitter cop; Bruno, his half-crazy, half-hillbilly cousin; and Mishka, the Russian neighbor who happens to be the cleverest of the trio. The deal? Franck has hidden an envelope (obviously filled with cash) in Bruno's bathroom. He needs to take it back to his commissioner, but there's a catch... In the meantime, Mishka stumbled upon it and wants to try and steal it. Her evil plan begins, as she goes on a hunt for the hidden money in this run-down apartment. And to steal the...envelope, she brings out the heavy artillery: copious shots of vodka, barely disguised seduction, and perhaps even a little joint from her pocket. The question is: will she succeed in fooling the two cousins? You'll understand, Nervous Hide-and-Seek is a comedy with a touch of detective intrigue that promises not to leave you cold. A lively little troupe, a burlesque plot, a heap of misunderstandings, and a laugh-out-loud staging... That's what made the play a success during its first runs at the Laurette Theatre in the 10th arrondissement, and it continues to work in our little neighborhood theater in the 5th arrondissement.
