There are exhibitions that we visit, that we observe... and then there are those that we experience. With Echolalia, Björk invites us not just to admire works, but to dive into her universe, headphones on and senses awakened. It's a massive immersive experience that will soon make a stop in Paris, after a remarkable run in Iceland and before a world tour. And yes, we are already counting down the days.
The Mystical Universe of Björk
Designed as an immersive exhibition, Echolalia brings together eleven unique pieces, all composed by Björk herself. True to her universe, the Icelandic artist draws inspiration from the breathtaking nature of her homeland: the breath of the wind, the movements of water, volcanic landscapes, and that almost mystical dimension that permeates her entire work. Throughout the journey, voice, body, and nature engage in a poetic and enchanting staging, with playful lights and projections.3D. Visitors stroll around wearing headphones, fully enjoying each sound creation. And the cherry on top: Echolalia will also let you discover "Nerve Bloom", a completely new track that will give a taste of Björk's upcoming album, expected in 2027. It's sure to keep fans on their toes... or make them even more eager!

A traveling exhibition... and soon in Paris
For now, Echolalia is being showcased in Reykjavik, the Icelandic capital, where it will be on display until September 20. The installation will then kick off a grand international tour that will include stops in New York, London, Tokyo, Sydney... and of course Paris. Unfortunately, the Paris dates haven’t been revealed yet, but the traveling exhibition is expected to set up in the capital between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027. So, let’s just say we'll need to exercise a bit of patience before we can experience this extraordinary event. In the meantime, while we wait for the official announcement, let’s dig out the classics from Björk, revisit Post, Homogenic, or Vespertine, and let "Venus as a Boy" play on repeat.
