The Editor

After bringing to life all the poetry of Jeff Buckley at the Seine Musicale in 2024, choreographer and former director of the Opéra de Paris Benjamin Millepied pays tribute to another iconic figure of music, this time French: Barbara. Next November, he will unveil his brand new show in Paris, Du bout des lèvres.

Music as a source of movement

Between his creations, his reinterpretations of classic performances, and his free performances throughout the city, Benjamin Millepied, aptly named, has a knack for amazing the capital. And from November 9 to 22, 2026, he plans to do it again.the experience, this time turning our attention to the subtle texts and enchanting melodies of Barbara, whose 30th anniversary of her passing will be in 2027.

In a clean and bright space, dancers in deceptively simple costumes will bring Barbara's words to life. Piece by piece, they will make us experience the full range of emotions that fill the work of the singer-songwriter. From nostalgia to passion, from...a sadness to joy, from solitude to love, a variety of generations and female presences will embrace all stages of life to enchant us.

A little patience

During 12 performances — the show will take a break on November 10 and 16, dancers will move to the rhythm of the words to transform the stage into a living space. And watch out, the ticket sales are already open, so don't wait too long to grab your tickets. Tickets are available starting at 25€, which is a relatively reasonable price to admire a dance genius showcasing their talent for one of the greatest figures in French music.
