Boundless creativity
We know him for his famous Campbell's Soup Can, his Marilyn Diptych, and his colorful portraits of Judy Garland and Ingrid Bergman. A Pop art pioneer, Andy Warhol drew throughout his life, right up until his final moments. Caricatures, portraits, advertising posters… His range of expertise was particularly wide, and he didn't hesitate to experiment with multiple techniques using stencils, collages, broken lines, and stamps.

A multifaceted artist
While he happily indulges in painting and even filmmaking, he always returns to his first love: drawing — a field in which he continuously challenges himself and reinvents his approach. Featuring approximately 150 drawings, as well as paintings, screen prints, photographs and archival documents, the exhibition invites you to dive fully into the artist's universe and creative process. Divided into five sections, it explores both his artistic eccentricities and his obsession with death, the omnipresence of writing in his works, his passion for portraiture, and his groundbreaking work on gay iconography, which long remained in the shadows.
