The Molière Award for Musical Theater 2025, seven Trophies for Musical Comedy… It’s absolutely fair to say that last year, Les Misérables triumphed in the capital. A true comeback for this show born in France in 1978, which at the time did not charm the French audience, while it enjoyed tremendous success on Broadway and in the West End.

After experiencing a true Parisian revival from late 2024 to early 2025, the musical continues to ride the wave of its success and will return to the stage of the Théâtre du Châtelet in 2026.
An amazing French version
It's a must-see of the year, especially if you didn't get a chance to see Les Misérables last year. From November 12, 2026 to January 10, 2027, the original show by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, directed by Ladislas Chollat, will be back on the boards at the Châtelet in French.

The adapted tale from the famous eponymous novel by Victor Hugo immerses us in the story of Jean Valjean, Cosette, and Gavroche. To accompany this, we have iconic songs — especially thanks to the musical film featuring Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway, released in 2012. “I Dreamed a Dream”, “On My Own”, and “Do You Hear the People Sing?” also have equally moving French versions, at the heart of a breathtaking production.
Tickets from €10
Currently, Les Misérables shines as the musical with the longest running time in history. Altogether, it has brought together no less than 130 million spectators since its creation, in the United States as well as in Norway, Switzerland, and Canada.
