13 years after the release of the last film in the Twilight saga (yes, yes, 13 years, it doesn't make us any younger), a new project has just been announced by the Amazon studios: a spin-off centered around werewolves, in which Taylor Lautner, aka our beloved Jacob, will return to play… his own role!

« Bella, where the hell have you been, girl ? » If there’s only one thing to remember from the not-so-impressive filmography of Taylor Lautner, it’s definitely this line that, 16 years after the second movie came out, still makes fans giggle all around the world. And we hope that the new project we’re excited to introduce to you will at least include a reference to this little gem of American fantasy cinema.


Back to the Roots

At just 13, Taylor Lautner made a noteworthy appearance in The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl – also known as the movie with the worst special effects in history – but it wasn’t until he played Jacob Black in the Twilight saga that his career took off... only to come crashing down just as fast.

At the end of the 5th movie. However, while the American actor might not have the most remarkable filmography in the world, his performance as a young Quileute werewolf werewolf has left a mark on an entire generation, who will be thrilled to know that the actor is keen to dive back into the universe imagined by Stephenie Meyer… or almost. A new project that is already shaping up to be cult, simply titled Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter (Taylor Lautner: werewolf hunter, for those who might not be fluent in the language of Shakespeare).


When Fiction Surpasses Reality

In this seemingly quirky spin-off, Hollywood's most famous werewolf is back in action, this time hunting his own kind. According to the production company, the series will focus on Taylor, who, after starring in the most streamed vampire movies of recent decades, has stepped away from the limelight, not due to a lack of interesting projects but to dedicate his life to another mission: hunting werewolves. This unique spin-off is expected to follow the actor in his double life between red carpets and nighttime hunts for bloodthirsty creatures. Well, we admit we’re not quite sure what to think of this upcoming series, and also, we're a bit... t plus team Edward, but hey, just for the nostalgic vibe, we’ll definitely be there!
