Paris, the city of fashion and cinema! The City of Paris has just revealed some fascinating data about the connection between the capital and the 7th Art in 2025. And let’s just say, the cameras were rolling hot last year! A total of 6570 film shoots took place, marking an increase of nearly 15% compared to 2024!
92 films shot in the capital
Feature films, short films, series, documentaries… The streets of Paris have been at the heart of many shoots. Among those, we find À pied d’œuvre by Valérie Donzelli (in theaters from February 4, 2026), L’Affaire Bojarski by Jean-Paul Salomé (in theaters since January 14, 2026), and more like Juste une ill....
The Fusion by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano (in theaters on April 15, 2026) or The Phantom of the Opera by Alexandre Castagnetti (in theaters on September 23, 2026). In total, 92 feature films have been shot there.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
The year 2025 also marked a turning point for cinema as it saw the establishment of the charter against sexist and sexual violence and harassment. This sets out various legal obligations, including informing and raising awareness among teams, monitoring actions against SVSH, as well as creating a reporting framework and addressing each instance.
Iconic series made their comeback alongside new productions
In terms of series, 66 productions were filmed in Paris. The must-watches Emily in Paris, Lupin, Master Crimes, Cat’s Eyes, B.R.I. and Astrid and Raphaëlle have seen their upcoming seasons &.Being set in the capital, while new series have also taken over the city as the backdrop for their stories: The Beauty by Ryan Murphy, Culte: 2Be3 by Yaël Langmann, and La Famille by Ziad Doueiri.
