As a hellish heatwave settles in progressively over the capital, promising a summer filled with warmth, many Parisians (us included) are dreaming of a place to cool off while enjoying the lovely weather. And the good news is that we’ve discovered an incredible gem just a stone’s throw from Paris: the beach of Isle-Adam, also known as the largest river beach in the country. And since Saturday, it’s open for you every day!


A true oasis

Starting from the Gare du Nord, equipped with our coolest swimsuits and snorkeling goggles, we hop on the H line for a short hour ride towards Isle-Adam. There, we discover a charming little village along the Oise river. But tr...

It's all about fun here, we’re not just here for sightseeing, so let’s get going with our fins on! After a little stroll of 10 minutes, we’ll find ourselves in the , right in the heart of a haven of greenery, water, and play: the Beach. A unique setting that will delight swimming enthusiasts, as well as those who think summer means napping in the shade or enjoying a friendly game of pétanque with friends.

Indeed, no one is left behind here! The activities keep flowing and are diverse to please as many people as possible. Besides a beautiful fine sandy beach along the Oise, the site offers you two swimming pools, dozens of slides, two diving boards, water games, and even a kiddie pool for those who might not feel quite ready for the big plunge.


A Huge Playground

And for those of you who have a fear of watery substances, no worries, we haven’t forgotten about you either! Because The Beach is also a paradise for sports enthusiasts: ping-pong tables, petanque courts, beach volleyball, mini-golf, and beach soccer. There are inflatable structures, perfect for those who dream of fun and adventure.

And to enjoy a full day at this amazing place, you don't need to break the bank, as it only costs 20€ per person (which is way cheaper than an electric fan or a train to Marseille). For a small fee, you can also enjoy a boat or pedal boat ride, a sunshade, or a deck chair, along with one of the incredible beach cabins that have been renovated in recent years. So, isn't life beautiful?
