Warner Bros Rumors Confirmed!
During an interview with HeyUGuys at the world premiere of the film Paddington in Peru, director Paul King revealed that Wonka 2 is in development. “We have about half of the script. We have a story we like, and we know where we want to take it,” he stated. Ultimately, the rumors turned out to be true, as the studio Warner Bros had already hinted that a family sequel is planned for December 17, 2027.

A huge box office success
With around $632 million in earnings, Wonka has successfully made its way among the biggest box office hits of 2023. The film focuses on the youth of Willy Wonka, played by Timoth< ```Timothée Chalamet. While this character became particularly famous with the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Tim Burton in 2005, where he was portrayed by Johnny Depp, he actually has his roots in the book of the same name, written by Roald Dahl in 1964. Although it seems that Timothée Chalamet is set to take on the role, Paul King has not provided any details yet about the casting or the story of this upcoming film !
